VENICE ROUNDUP: Venice boys weightlifting wins Sarasota County title
VENICE 鈥� In their final tuneup before the postseason begins, the Venice boys weightlifting team proved to be the best of the best in Sarasota County. On Thursday at the old Venice gymnasium, the Indians outlasted a tough Sarasota squad in the Sarasota County boys weightlifting championship, beating the Sailors by five points. Venice ended the meet with 84 points, while Sarasota earned second with 79. A distant third was Riverview with 25 points.
