Several Heart of Illinois Conference baseball teams picked up key non-conference victories as Dee-Mack and Eureka had good days at the plate and Tremont鈥檚 pitching dominated. East Peoria鈥檚 Jackson Ahrens nearly hit for the cycle for his second straight game as the Raiders rolled to another win. Bloomington Central Catholic and Brimfield/Elmwood continued strong starts to the season in softball and Morton, Normal U-High and Olympia all picked up comfortable victories.
