Softball GHS Girls Win Eighth Straight
The Greenville Lady Comets softball team won its eighth straight game to start the season on Monday. The Lady Comets eased to a 10-0 victory over Alton Marquette in six innings. Payton White was the winning pitcher. She struck out 15 Marquette batters. Ava Potthast belted a solo home run for GHS. White, Emma Bingham and Zoee Englert posted two hits apiece. The Lady Comets take their 8-0 record into Thursday鈥檚 game at Mater Dei. They are at home against Litchfield on Friday, and go to Breese Central Saturday for a double header.
