Jada Wood from Queen’s Women’s Hockey was named the Women’s Sports Alfie Pierce Trophy recipient for the 2025-26 season at the Queen’s Athletics & Recreation Colour Awards banquet on Wednesday night. The Alfie Pierce Trophy is awarded annually to honour a Women’s Sports student-athlete on Varsity Teams who have contributed the most to athletics in their first year at Queen’s. Wood (Arts & Science) was named the U SPORTS and OUA Rookie of the Year for Women’s Hockey, as well as to the U SPORTS and OUA All-Rookie teams for the 2025-26 season.
