Goff takes first in USA powerlifting meet
Hudson High School freshman Preston Goff, 14, won the 60 kilogram Raw male varsity division at the 2026 USA Powerlifting High School Nationals meet this past weekend. Goff competed in a division with 26 lifters, including a number of high school juniors and seniors. Goff set multiple records in the meet, including 197.5 kg (435-pound) squat (state and American record), a 212.5 kg (468-pound) deadlift (American record), finishing with a 517.5 kg (1,141-pound total) 鈥� also an American record and a 97.5 kg personal best increase. The records are for the USAPL Teen 1 (13-15 age group).
