Women’s tennis gains road triumph over Johnson C. Smith
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Averett University women’s tennis won its sixth straight match on Tuesday afternoon with a 6-1 decision at Division-II Johnson C. Smith University. Averett (8-2) won the two doubles matches at stake to kick off the battle. Senior Elisa Battermann and junior Dilara Sultanova won at the first slot, 6-3 versus Johnson C. Smith’s (4-4) Divija Manneni and Markayla Ramos, before senior Brenda Poulakidas and sophomore Sunna Maass won their match, 6-2 to take the first team point.
