BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb University women's tennis team battled tough competition Tuesday afternoon but ultimately fell to Coastal Carolina University , 7–0, at the Webb Tennis Complex. In doubles play, the Runnin' Bulldogs opened the match with a hard-fought effort at the No. 2 position as Emma Shasteen and Alizée Poulin pushed Coastal Carolina to the brink before falling in a tight 7–6 decision. Natalie Crawford and Valeria Lloclla also competed at the top doubles spot but were defeated 6–3, giving the Chanticleers the early doubles advantage.
