Wiggins named Summit League Pitcher of the Week for the first time
OMAHA, Neb. 鈥撯�� Omaha Softball right-handed pitcher Alexis Wiggins was named the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Pitcher of the Week for the first time, it was announced Tuesday. The senior from Adams, Nebraska pitched eight innings of shutout softball in a pair of victories against Kansas City as Omaha swept the Roos a clean 27-0 over three games. Wiggins, in her second season as a Maverick, allowed just three hits in 28 batters faced last weekend, including holding the Roos' leadoff hitter to just one hit in eight matchups.
