Van der Westhuizen Named American Field Athlete of the Week
IRVING 鈥� Following her season debut, Mckyla Van der Westhuizen was named the American Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. Van der Westhuizen had an incredible weekend at the Victor Lopez Classic, winning the javelin with a throw of 59.06m. The mark currently leads the nation for the javelin. Rice heads to the Texas Relays this weekend.
