Three Panthers Named Conference USA Track & Field Athletes of the Week
MIAMI鈥� Three FIU track & field performers have earned Conference USA Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday. Tim Beauchamp and Kylie Neira claimed the men's and women's freshman of the week awards, while Danielle McGonigle was named women's track athlete of the week for the first time this season. Saturday at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational was another great performance in the strong season of McGonigle, who placed fifth in the triple jump and fifth in the FIU record books with a jump of 12.79m.
