Solis Finishes Tied For First as Lutes Finish Second at George Fox Invitational
MOLALLA, Ore. 鈥� Koen Solis finished tied for first at the George Fox Invitational leading Pacific Lutheran University to a second-place team finish Tuesday afternoon. FINAL RESULTS PLU opened the tournament in seventh place after posting a 307 (+23) in the first round. The Lutes bounced back in round two, improving their team score by 21 strokes. PLU finished tied with Whitworth University in the final standings, five strokes behind tournament champion Linfield University. Solis secured first place after a thrilling playoff with Whitworth’s Matthew Durkin in which they tied three times before Durkin birdied earning the low medalist honor.…
