Softball Drops MEAC Series to Defending MEAC Champion Howard
WASHINGTON, DC鈥� The South Carolina State softball team suffered their first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) loss of the season to defending champion Howard in a 3-0 sweep over the weekend inside Nationals Youth Academy. The Lady Bulldogs dropped to 11-11 overall, 6-3 in the MEAC, while Howard improves to 15-13 overall, 8-1 in the league. SCSU dropped a tough 6-0 loss in Game 1, followed by a 14-5 (5 innings) defeat in Game 2 and an 8-3 decision to close out the series.
