Soccer Lady Comets Second In Tournament
The Greenville High School girls soccer team won two of three game to finish second in last week鈥檚 Route 66 Kickoff Classic, hosted by North Mac and Carlinville, The Lady Comets edged Auburn in the first game, 1-0. Bailey Taylor scored the lone goal. Maddie Beckert was GHS goal keeper. The Lady Comets followed with a 2-1 victory over North Mac last Friday. Ada Jefferson scored both Greenville goals. Credited with assists were Tinley Walker, Braelyn Andris and Taylor. Beckert made one save in goal for the shutout. Saturday, the Lady Comets were edged by Carlinville 1-0 in the championship...
