Schmidt Selected NESCAC Performer of the Week
AMHERST, MA . 鈥� Sophomore thrower Gavin Schmidt (Swarthmore, Pa.) has been named the NESCAC Men’s Track and Field Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. At the UMass Flagship Meet, the Mammoths’ outdoor season opener, Schmidt wrote his name in the school record books. He posted a throw of 51.41 meters to win the discus event, a mark that ranks third in Division III at this point in the season.
