Salinas wins Javelin as Spartans have strong showing at Wheaton Invite
The Aurora University Men’s Track and Field team competed in the Wheaton Invite hosted by Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL on Tuesday. Anthony Salinas won the Javelin throw with a strong toss of 39.85m. McKinley Shelton finished fourth in the event, throwing 36.48m. Aurora’s 4×400-Meter Relay team of MeKhii Morris-Heron, Ayden McGill , Henry Beyer , and Joshua Beechler earned a runner-up finish in 3:31.85. The Spartan 4×100-Meter Relay team of Ethan Taylor , Caleb Burgins , Jaxson Foster , and Jahrel Rimpel finished third in the meet with a season best time of 43.34s.
