Meyer Named UMAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Bethany softball ace Emily Meyer (Jr., Swea City, Iowa) was named UMAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the fifth time this season, the conference office announced Tuesday. Meyer pitched in all five games last week as Bethany went 3-2. Meyer pitched 26 innings. She allowed all 11 earned runs in the doubleheader loss at Saint Benedict, but responded with 17 shutout innings in the series sweep at UM-Morris. Meyer allowed just 15 hits in 17 innings against the Cougars, while adding 10 strikeouts.
