CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The University of Houston Softball team snapped an 11-game losing skid, taking a 6-1 road victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Chapman Field on Tuesday. A hot start at the plate for both teams quickly turned into a pitchers duel after the opening frame. The Cougars (18-21, 1-11 Big 12) scored a season-best six runs in the first inning, leading the Islanders (10-26, 4-8 Southland), 6-1, before both teams held each other scoreless for the remainder of the game.
