Alabama State drops tough 11-3 matchup to Jacksonville State
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. | The Alabama State softball team struggled on Tuesday, falling to the Jacksonville State Gamecocks 11-3 at Jana McGinnis Field. In the batter's box, the Hornets were led by Meshayla Pettaway, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double and an RBI. Talee Sims compiled a standout performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-2 with an RBI. HOW IT HAPPENED The Hornets were trailing 1-0 in the third inning when they first put runs on the board.
