Westminster suffers home loss to Penn State Behrend
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.–The Westminster baseball team dropped a 7-2 decision to visiting Penn State Behrend Monday afternoon. Trailing 1-0 through two, junior Nate Demchak (Monroeville, Pa., Gateway) singled to lead off the third, and after stealing second, scored on junior Quinn Marquis’ (Hinckley, Ohio, Highland) RBI base hit to tie the game at 1-1. Behrend scored four runs in the top of the seventh, keyed by Thomas Nicely’s pinch hit, two-run single. Marquis went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base at the top of the order.
