Valdez Named NJAC Women鈥檚 Tennis Rookie of the Week
PITMAN, N.J. 鈥� Junior Hillary Valdez (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Week March 30. She made her collegiate debut March 26, posting a 6-0, 6-1 win in fifth singles and a 6-1 victory in second doubles during a 4-3 win at FDU-Florham. The Garfield, N.J., native then helped WP claim its first conference win since the 2016-17 season after winning in fourth singles (6-1, 6-0) during a 4-3 home victory versus Stockton March 27.
