By: Beth Tavares MOLALLA, Ore. — The George Fox men’s golf team hosted their annual GFU Invitational and ended the first day in a solid second place with a 297 (+13), right behind Whitworth in first, 295 (+11). Top Performances Leading the Bruins was Ian Powers with an overall score of 72 (+1) and finished as a top place finisher in third at the end of the first day; Powers had a great day on the green where he recorded a total of two birdies with one on each nine.
