LANGLEY, British Columbia 鈥揟rinity Western second-year middle distance runner Yemane Mulugeta (Surrey, B.C.) is the Spartans’ Male Athlete of the Week after qualifying for the NAIA championship and winning the 5000m race at the UBC Open this past weekend at the Rashpal Dhillon Track & Field Oval in Vancouver, B.C. The natural science student won the 5000-meter race with a time of 14:06.20, which automatically qualifies him for the NAIA championship by meeting the qualifying standard of 14:22.
