South Bend native named NAIA Coach of the Year
INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) - Suntana Anderson, a South Bend native, has been named NAIA Coach of the Year after leading Marian University to the women鈥檚 basketball national championship. Anderson is a former standout player for Riley High School in the 2000s, where she was a two-time NIC Player of the Year. She also served as the program鈥檚 head coach from 2018-2020. In her second season as head coach for Marian, Anderson led the Knights to a program record 35-2 overall mark and the program鈥檚 first national title since 2017.
