Six-Run Fifth Inning Leads Baseball Past Wilson College
LEXINGTON, Va. – The Washington and Lee University baseball team used a six run fifth inning to ease by Wilson College, 15-5, in seven innings on Monday evening at Cap’n Dick Smith Field. HOW IT HAPPENED The Generals (13-7-1) took an early lead in the bottom of the first as Alex Caywood and Andrew Thornton each hit one-out singles. Caywood scored two batters later as Jackson Rogish singled to left field before Ian Weber cleared the bases with a single into the left-center field gap to give W&L a 3-0 lead.
