Simon Dixon Wins Shot Put to Lead Throwers at Millikin Outdoor Opener
DECATUR, Ill. — The University of Chicago men’s track and field throwers opened their season on Saturday at the Millikin Outdoor Opener. Simon Dixon won the lone event in the meet for the Maroons as the senior recorded a mark of 16.30 meters in the Shot Put. He also took third in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 50.44 meters. Ryan Anderson added the lone other podium finish as he took third in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 45.61 meters.
