Shirk Leads SMWC Women鈥檚 Golf in Opening Round at Midway Eagle Invitational
By: Ace Hunt LEXINGTON, Ky. 鈥� The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's golf team opened play at the Midway Eagle Invitational on Monday with a third-place finish after round one at the University Club of Kentucky. SMWC posted a team score of 349, trailing Midway (329) and Huntington (339) in the six-team field. UVA Wise (351), IU Southeast (364), and Mount Vernon Nazarene (385) rounded out the standings.
