Sain grabs NWC Athlete of the Week honor after strong weekend at the plate
Junior outfielder Meara Sain continued to crush the ball last weekend in a four-game series sweep at NWC-rival Whitworth, earning her first Northwest Conference Softball Athlete of Week honor this season. The Eugene, Oregon native went 8-for-13 at the dish (.615), notching eight doubles and a pair of home runs to drive in a team-high nine runs in the series.
