O鈥橪eary and Ochoa Slug Their Way to Skyline Softball Player, Rookie of the Week
PURCHASE, N.Y. 鈥� Coming off their performances at the plate in Sunday’s sweep of Saint Joseph’s Long Island, Josie O’Leary (Pawling, N.Y./Pawling) and Breanna Ochoa (South Gate, Calif./Saint Joseph High School) of the Manhattanville University softball team have been named Skyline Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, for the week ending Mar. 29. It is the first honor for both players this season. O’Leary hit a ridiculous .875 in the pair of games against the Golden Eagles, leading the Valiant offense that plated 25 runs in the sweep.
