Lapointe signs ECHL contract with Orlando Solar Bears
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior defenseman Xavier Lapointe signed a professional contract with the Orlando Solar Bears, the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) affiliate of the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning, announced Monday. Lapointe inked an Amateur Tryout Contract and will report to Orlando for the remainder of the 2026 season. “We are excited for Xavier,” said RIT Head Coach Matt Thomas .
