Jaro, Duncalfe named Wesmen Athletes of the Year
After having all-star seasons, Kato Jaro and Brooke Duncalfe were named the 2025-26 Winnipeg Wesmen athletes of the year on Thursday. Jaro, from the Wesmen men’s basketball team, and Duncalfe of women’s volleyball, were both named all-stars this season and were announced as the top Wesmen athletes at the department’s year-end banquet at the Radisson Hotel. Both Jaro and Duncalfe enjoyed breakout seasons after being handed more responsibilities as team leaders in their third seasons as Wesmen.
