Grant upends Sparta in non-league baseball action on Monday
LocalSportsJournal.com The Grant baseball team picked up steam after the first couple of innings and cruised past Sparta 8-2 on Monday. An error by the Tigers put Sparta on the board in the first inning, but they gathered themselves to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning and never looked back. Rory Fish earned the win on the mound, giving up no hits, one run and striking out nine batters. Austin Tyers came in on relief to finish the game.
