Faulkner Named Big South Freshman of the Week for Second Time
CHARLOTTE, N.C. 鈥� Longwood second baseman Lauren Faulkner has been named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week in softball for a second time this season, the league announced Monday. Faulkner batted .467 (7-for-15) with three home runs, one double, nine RBIs and eight runs scored in a 2-3 week for Longwood with wins over North Carolina Central and USC Upstate. She knocked in a career-high four runs in a 9-5 game two loss against USC Upstate on Saturday.
