Cougars drop conference match to North Pitt
The girls鈥� soccer team at SouthWest Edgecombe fell to 1-4 in the Three Rivers 4A Conference and 4-5 overall with a 5-2 loss to North Pitt on Friday in Pinetops. The Panthers broke a 1-1 tie at halftime by outscoring the Cougars 4-1 in the second half. Tynae Evans and Yolet Ramirez scored goals for SouthWest Edgecombe. Evans and Ramirez each finished with three shots on goal while Cindy Oviedo had two and Khemiya Anderson and Treleia Hawkins managed one each.
