Cooper named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week after no-hitter performance
Montgomery, Ala.- Blue Mountain Christian’s Neely Cooper has been named the SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week after her dominant no-hit performance against Thomas University. Cooper was outstanding in the circle, throwing five hitless innings while allowing just one walk and striking out five batters to earn the win and improve to 5-1 on the season. She faced only 19 batters and needed just 70 pitches to complete the no-hitter, while also recording 10 groundouts to keep Thomas from finding any offensive rhythm.
