PELLA— Responsible for the game-winning RBI twice this weekend against Wartburg College, Central College baseball’s Brayden Sawyer (senior, Grundy Center) was named the American Rivers Conference Position Player of the Week Monday. The leadoff hitter for Central in four games last week, Sawyer had nine hits and nine RBI. He had two hits in each of three games against Wartburg College and three against Cornell College.
