Baseball wins Monday matchup with Regent
DANVILLE, Va. 鈥� Averett University baseball defeated Regent University in a Monday standalone contest. Averett (9-14, 3-7 ODAC) took care of business against the visiting Regent (13-12) side with a decisive 7-1 victory. While Averett dominated the game, it was actually Regent that opened up an early lead. The Royals put up their lone run of the contest in the top of the first inning before Averett rattled off seven unanswered, starting in the bottom of the second inning.
