Baseball Scores 13 Runs, Drops Series Opener to Alma
The Hope College baseball team dropped a 23-13 slugfest at Alma College on Monday in the first of a three-game series between the two teams. The two teams will play two more weekday single games later this season. The Flying Dutchmen grabbed a 13-9 lead with a fifth-run fifth that started with an RBI single from first baseman Aaron Pryce (Canton, Michigan / Seaholm). The next batter, sophomore left fielder Corbin Bennetts (Jenison, Michigan / Jenison) followed with an RBI single that kept the bases loaded.
