Virginia State earns 69-66 win against Bluefield State after trailing at the half
PETERSBURG, VA --The Virginia State men's basketball team went into the halftime break trailing Bluefield State 36-28, but fought back from the deficit to beat the Big Blues 69-66 at home Saturday. Jacob Cooper led the Trojans (22-10) with 29 points and three steals. Jared Clawson also tacked on nine points and eight rebounds and Amare Wimbush helped out with nine points and three steals off the bench.
