Statesmen tripped up by #22 Violets 5-2
GENEVA, N.Y. 鈥� The Hobart tennis team dropped a non-conference matchup to No. 22 NYU this afternoon at the HWS Tennis Center. With the loss, the Statesmen fall to 7-4 overall, while the Violets improve to 7-1 overall. Hobart came out strong in doubles play, winning all three matches to secure the early doubles point. In the No. 1 spot, seniors Nick Fischer and Aidan Staunton put on an impressive performance, defeating Bryan Hui and Niklas Von Hellens 6-3.
