Softball: Pioneers take two from Owls
MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College pitching staff limited the Kenyon College softball team to 13 hits and seven runs in a doubleheader sweep Sunday at Arbuckle Field. The host Pioneers outlasted the Owls in game one, 8-6, and then coasted to a five-inning, run-rule, 9-1 victory in game two. The highlight of the day for Kenyon was the continued production off the bat of sophomore Leah Kuban, who belted two home runs in game one and can now be declared a legitimate threat to the program single-season record for long balls.
