Prairie Fire fall in two games at Westminster on Sunday
The Knox College softball team dropped a pair of games on Sunday, falling at Westminster College 7-2 and 9-1. The team falls to 5-9 overall and next plays on Wednesday, hosting a doubleheader against the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, starting at 2 p.m. In the opener, it trailed 7-0 after five innings before scoring a pair in the top of the seventh. Kara Burwell and Taylor Goudschaal had Knox’s RBIs, while Chelsea McKee had two hits and a run scored. In the second game, Janet Lentini recorded Knox’s only RBI by singling home Goudschaal.
