Plattsburgh Softball Splits Doubleheader at Skidmore, Wins Opener in Extra Innings
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. 鈥� The Plattsburgh State softball team returned to action following its trip to The Spring Games, traveling to take on the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in a non-conference doubleheader. The two programs last met two seasons ago, splitting a twin bill, and Saturday’s matchup proved to be just as competitive. The Cardinals captured a thrilling 8-7 victory in the first game before dropping the nightcap 12-4 to split the series.
