Pirates hit three home runs to complete sweep
SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth University drilled three three-run home runs on the way to a 20-10 ten-run rule win over visiting Pacific University at Merkel Field on Sunday afternoon, completing a Northwest Conference baseball series sweep of the Boxers. The Pirates scored 58 runs over the three games to improve to 15-11 overall and 10-1 in the NWC.They have won nine games in a row.
