Pearson Picks up Singles Win at No. 6 Pepperdine
MALIBU, Calif. – Meagan Pearson won her singles match, but Portland dropped its second straight road match to a ranked opponent with a 6-1 defeat to No. 6 Pepperdine Sunday at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. Pearson, a senior for the Pilots (6-8, 1-3 WCC), defeated Liam Oved 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 in a super tiebreaker at No. 6 singles. Pearson has now won six of her last seven singles matches.
