Men’s track and field opens the 2026 outdoor schedule at North Central events
Naperville, Ill. – The Wheaton men’s track and field opened up the 2026 outdoor schedule this weekend with events at North Central College. On Friday, NCC hosted the Distance Fling and on Saturday the First Chance Invitational hosted more events. At Friday’s distance event, freshman Matthias Everest won the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:43.33. On Saturday, sophomore Ty Bova won the men’s high jump with an effort of 2.00-meters (6′ 6-3/4). Ben Maher placed third in the javelin throw with a distance of 49.17-meters (161′ 4).
