Lancers Fall to George Washington on Senior Day
FARMVILLE, Va. 鈥� The Longwood women's tennis team fell, 5-2, to George Washington on senior day at the New Lancer Courts Sunday. Longwood (8-7) opened the day by winning the doubles point. The Lancers won on courts three and two, respectively, after Bali Song and Oriana Izarra dropped a 6-3 decision to Madison Lee and Karen Verduzco at No. 1. Longwood rallied as Elisaveta Gnilozubova and Hima Fernando topped Alexandra Lindqvist and Devika Manu, 6-3 and Alexandra Magia and Feline van Eijkelenburg defeated Solange Skeene and Victoria Sasinka, 7-5.
