PETERSBURG, Va. – The Benedict College Lady Tigers won the Black College Invitational Championship on Saturday with a 66-62 victory over Bowie State. The Lady Tigers (19-9 overall) outscored Bowie State 12-2 to end the second quarter and take a 40-31 lead at the half. Benedict increased its lead to as much as 15 points, 52-37, in the third quarter and took a 55-43 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
