Bulldogs Finish Sweep of Chattanooga
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford softball team finished off a Southern Conference sweep of Chattanooga at home today. The Bulldogs led wire-to-wire as they captured a 10-4 victory, their sixth straight win overall. Samford’s record moves to 15-21 and 5-1 in SoCon play after the series sweep. The Bulldogs wasted no time asserting control in the opening innings. In the bottom of the first, starting pitcher and two-way threat Brandy Phillips launched a two-run home run to left field, putting the Bulldogs on top early.
