Track & Field Outdoor Season Begins at Redbird Challenge
The Monmouth College men’s and women’s track and field teams opened the outdoor portion of the schedule with a 2-day meet at Illinois State University. The Redbird Challenge featured a handful of Division 1 teams along with Monmouth, Illinois College and Illinois Wesleyan. WOMEN Jillian Toth (El Paso, Illinois) took second in the hammer throw, finishing behind an Illinois State thrower. She threw 49.89m for the first outdoor meet of the season.
