Track and Field Opens Outdoor Season with Strong Results
RALEIGH, N.C./KENNESAW, Ga. — The Western Michigan track and field team had a strong opening weekend to the outdoor season, with multiple athletes posting top-10 marks in program history. The distance squad was sensational at the Raleigh Relays, beginning with Ava Kurczewski and Lily Overton in the 3K steeplechase. Kurczewski finished with a PR time of 10:35.20 to move up to third in program history, while Overton’s PR time of 10:35.36 moved her to fourth in school history.
